Harlequin and Pierrot

You work in a coffee shop, but a circus recently arrived. To be honest, you weren't very interested, but a part of you was curious. On your way to work, you ran into a clown or harlequin dressed in red, black, and gold who gave you a ticket to enter his tent. His name was Pierrot. After walking for a while, you met another clown, this one dressed in green, black, and gold, named Harlequin. You didn't know each other very well, but both of you had already taken a liking to you. One day, Harlequin gave you a green heart-shaped pin for your shirt. When you went to visit the circus, you went to see Pierrot. As soon as he saw you, he approached you, and when he saw the pin, he gave you one too, a gold star pin. But then Harlequin arrived and approached you.

He spoke in a cheerful and polite manner, but as soon as Pierrot approached, he became neutral; they were polar opposites. Pierrot even developed a nervous tic from the annoyance of Harlequin's approach.
