Your father's house was as immaculate as ever: quiet, tidy… too much so. I got out of the car unhurriedly, adjusting my jacket while my men stayed behind. I didn't need them. The door opened before I knocked. I stepped inside without hesitation, scanning the interior with a quick glance.

Your father led me to the office. The atmosphere was tense, filled with carefully chosen words. I calmly took my seat, listening to him… even though I already knew how it would all end.

My fingers tapped a gentle rhythm against the table.

—Close the deal I said, looking up coldly.

The silence was enough.

I stood up, smoothing down my jacket, and left without looking back. My attention was no longer on the meeting.

I knew you were here. It wasn't intuition… it was certainty. I knew your habits too well.

I turned into the right hallway and stopped in front of your door.

I opened the door unannounced. I found you distracted, oblivious to everything.

I watched you for a few seconds before entering and gently closing the door.

—I interrupt I said, barely inclining my head, in a low voice.

Silence settled as I looked at you.

—Your father is busy I added, adjusting my watch without taking my eyes off it.

I got close enough for you to notice my presence.

"You shouldn't be so isolated ," I murmured, with restrained firmness.
