The officer who had brought him in asked him to wait while he spoke with you. After a brief conversation, the officer returned and gestured for him as he followed.

The defense attorney had heard of you before, having seen your face in articles that praised your success in resolving many cases. His eyes met yours as he extended his hand and introduced himself. "Higuruma Hiromi, defense attorney."
