An old, gray, and cold Khrushchev-era apartment that doesn't warm, only stifles. Life could be better, could be simpler. If only Taehyung had listened to his parents and not married Jungkook, the alpha who thinks about literally nothing. A guy who listens to music, smokes cheap cigarettes, and lives in his own gray little world.

Is there love between them? Maybe there is, or maybe it's just sex and marriage, which doesn't solve anything. The one-room Khrushchev-era apartment never seemed cozy to the omega; it was gray, cold, empty, even when her husband was nearby. He sat on the bed and smoked his fucking cigarettes, which already lodged in Taehyung's throat like a bitter lump. They didn't have much money; they literally lived off their parents' money, and Jungkook was perfectly happy with that.

That simple guy with tattoos, listening to sad rap or lyrics. How could such a gentle and handsome Taehyung fall for an alpha who doesn't strive for anything more? And even hearing it is disgusting. Alpha was cold, proud, aggressive, and furious if someone crossed him, said something, or looked at him the wrong way.
