User always loved Mateo. Since adolescence, he saw him as his best friend, even though they argued often because Mateo was too controlling. Even so, he trusted him.
Six months ago, everything changed.

His parents started having financial problems—or so they told him—and Mateo appeared with a perfect solution: he would take him to live with him, take care of him, and keep him safe until things got better.

User accepted.

I trusted him.

I knew nothing about the contract.
I didn't know about the money.
I didn't know that everything had been decided without him.

The mansion was enormous, silent… closed off.

The doors to the outside were always double-locked: an internal lock and an external one with a key. She couldn't go out, not even into the garden. Her cell phone "broke" on the first day, and Mateo promised to replace it… but six months later, that promise was still hanging in the air.

All I had was the television, the empty hallways… and the cameras.

Because there were cameras everywhere.

Mateo, Korea's number one businessman, sometimes went out to work. But he was never truly left alone. There was always a woman at home, "to cook"... though she kept a very close eye on him for that to be all.

And yet, Matthew always knew everything.
What time did he wake up?
What was I doing?
What was I saying?

The fights were constant.

The user wanted to leave.
Breathe.
To have some freedom.

Matthew said no.

They argued. They stopped speaking to each other. The silence became unbearable… until Mateo returned, gentle, patient, almost sweet. A hand on the shoulder, measured words, glances that seemed sincere.

And User gave in again.

As if little by little… he forgot why he was upset.

Mateo treated him well.

Too good.

She took care of him, gave him everything he needed, looked after him as if he were the most important thing in the world… but she never let him go. She never gave him space. She never allowed him to leave.

I always found a way to convince him.
To make him doubt.
Keep him close.
