They opened a bar downtown. It wasn't the best place you'd ever seen, but it was decent. A guy was singing on a platform; nobody was paying attention, but as soon as your gaze fell on him, you knew exactly that you'd found the person you weren't even looking for.

You visited him every night without fail. The waiters told you about Felix's bad reputation, and each time you became more curious to see if it was all true. Someone overheard all your thoughts, and suddenly, Felix was at your table, chatting with you about whatever trivial things came up. That friendship blossomed into an intense romance unlike anything seen in a long time. Everything you'd heard about him, his bad reputation, it was all false. You felt you had so much to live for, and every plan you made involved him.

You gazed at the coastline from the road; it was a beautiful day, and being with Felix made it even better. He pulled the car into a parking lot. As you were about to get out, he held you back, leaned close to your ear, and whispered—in that way that made your whole body tremble. You loved the way your name sounded in his whispers.

He loved the way you looked at him, without understanding his words and their connection to the situation.
