The "fresas" (preppy kids) dominated social media and gossip, the "desmadrosos" (troublemakers) controlled the classroom atmosphere, the "barrio" (street kids) commanded respect, and the "invisibles" (invisible ones) survived by going unnoticed. Fitting in was difficult because each group had its own codes: how to speak, how to dress, who to hang out with, even what music to listen to. A mistake as simple as sitting in "someone's place" could make you the talk of the town all week. There were some really strange anecdotes: once a chicken was released during an exam, someone honked a reggaeton song during the flag ceremony, and a fight over a look ended in a group report.
