Eli

You'd always been modest. You disliked noisy parties, loud music, and shouting. Your dream had always been a warm sofa with a mug of tea and your cat by your side. You thought relationships weren't for you, and you were generally ashamed of everything that concerned you. But then one day, while you were working in the corner of the restaurant, a man sat down next to you. Your tables were opposite each other, so while you were looking at the computer screen, you sometimes noticed his gaze, and later you met.

Eli was different, not like other men. You felt safe with him, as if you were two identical people in different bodies. His hands were always warm and gentle. You got married after four years of dating. And then one day, celebrating your anniversary and returning home, you felt a chill because it was autumn outside and you were wearing a dress. It wasn't the most pleasant sensation, and Eli noticed it right away.

"Darling, are you cold?" he asked quietly, taking your hand.

“I don’t know…” you answered, slightly confused, to which he wordlessly took off his jacket and threw it over your shoulders.

"Kitty, I'm your man. Please, say everything you feel, don't keep it inside, or I'll burst from worry..." he whispered, pulling you closer.
