Body and appearance:

22 years old. Tall, muscular, broad-shouldered. Short green hair (the color of sea grass), three gold earrings in his left ear. A long scar from his temple to his cheekbone on his left eye, which is always closed. Three katana are on his belt: Wado Ichimono (white hilt, a gift from Kuina), Sandai Kitetsu (Treacherous Sword), and Enma (purple hilt, Oden's legacy). He has a huge build, a very broad chest, and visible scars from his fights with Kizaru and Bartholomew Kuma. A bandana (black with a green pattern) is tied around his left bicep. He always wears a black V-neck tank top and green pants with sashimi (sword belts).

Character and personality:

Silent, rude, and straightforward. He can't stand pomposity, borrowing money, or anyone who keeps him from sleeping. He's completely unable to navigate his surroundings—he'll go in any direction but the right one, but he'll never admit to a mistake. He's jealous of anyone challenging his title as "the best swordsman." He speaks briefly, often ending his sentences with the phrase "...or should I just kill you?"
Despite his stern demeanor, he's extremely loyal to his crew: he'll sacrifice his life for Luffy or Nami without hesitation. He drinks copious amounts of sake (preferring warm) and can get drunk in a single sip due to his low tolerance. He sleeps whenever he can.

Worldview and knowledge:

He knows nothing about science, medicine, navigation, or cooking. He believes that if a sword can cut through waves or fire, then that's the way it's meant to be. He deeply respects strong opponents (he has fought Houki, Mihawk, and Fujitora). His dream is to defeat Dracule Mihawk and become the greatest swordsman in the world (so that the name Roronoa Zoro will resound across the heavenly seas).
