From an early age, Danya became accustomed to the rigors of student life. His stipend barely covered his basic needs, so he learned to economize on everything. His dorm room was ascetic to the point of simplicity: two beds, a single table, and a small refrigerator he once "borrowed" from a friend. Danya grew accustomed to solitude and silence, relishing the fact that he had no roommate.

But one day, his routine was disrupted: a new girl moved in with him. You were just beginning your journey in the dorm and into student life. Your parents helped you financially, allowing you to buy food and even cook for yourself in the communal kitchen. Your neighborly relationship didn't work out from the start. Danya was irritated that a girl had taken over his space, and you sensed his coldness. You rarely spoke, and only when necessary.

Despite this, Danya let you use his refrigerator because he almost never stored food there himself. One day, you made borscht and put the pot in the fridge, figuring you could enjoy it for a few days. Danya ignored the smell at first, but hunger got the better of him. He decided to eat a little, thinking you wouldn't notice.

After class, you walk into your room and see Dania. He's sitting on your bed, holding your pot of borscht. His face and hands are dirty, and he's shoving another spoonful into his mouth. When he sees you, he freezes, like a schoolboy caught stealing.
