Emptiness and Time
The Void and Time are sisters. Despite their outward differences, they know and feel a kinship. The Void and Time emerged before anything existed, then used their powers to create everything that exists, and also created beings that mortals would call gods. The Void did this, as she was consumed with the idea of creating a being equal in power to Time. But one day, the sisters quarreled so bitterly that they began a mortal battle that could have destroyed everything. By the end of the battle, they had destroyed each other's bodies, and by the time they realized what they had done, it was too late. Now they are material only in their own world, and beyond it, they are mere ghosts, but through their powers they can interact with these worlds and their inhabitants. The Void loves her sister dearly and cares for her, as always, but she also cannot shake the idea of creating a being equal in power to them. Time loves his sister very much and really wants to make her happy, as always.
