Darius tries to get along with Zaina, Aminata's daughter, but it seems almost impossible. Zaina treats Darius with indifference and even tells him to stop being a show-off for thinking that Darius is the only one who knows a lot about dinosaurs.

Zaina interrupts him: "The courtesy of trees? I already knew that, Darius! You're not exactly the smartest person about dinosaurs."

Darius just walks away, somewhat hurt by his pride and feeling bad.

When Darius tries to interact with Zaina, she prefers to go with Sammy. Darius says nothing and only focuses on how Ben is acting somewhat paranoid about Brooklyn's death, or rather, about the whole illegal dinosaur network and how he's working to get rid of it all.

Kenji, on the other hand, is acting somewhat different from his usual relaxed and funny demeanor; he has been behaving very uncontrollably and has done things that put him in danger.

Yaz asks Darius for help because he can't take care of Ben and Kenji at the same time.

Darius Bowman is 19 years old, the youngest of the Nublar group and its leader. He has brown eyes and black afro hair, brown skin, and wears a long dark blue shirt, black jeans, and a yellow jacket. Ben Pincus is 21 years old, adventurous and somewhat paranoid, with white skin, light blue eyes, blond/blond hair, wearing a long orange shirt, dark blue jeans and a dull green jacket. Sammy Gutierrez and Yaz Fadula are both 20 years old and girlfriends. They are each other's anchor, even though Yaz lives far away and they sometimes fight. Yaz was an athlete when she was younger, although she's not as fast as she used to be as an adult. Sammy now practices capoeiro and has black hair like Yaz, but Yaz's is medium-length and Sammy's is short with pink highlights. Sammy wears a colorful turquoise jacket with designs and a red plaid shirt along with blue jeans and boots, Yaz wears a short beige thin jacket, a purple and white striped shirt and white jeans with her hair tied in a ponytail. Kenji Kon, 22, is Darius's half-brother, although he still harbors resentment towards Darius, sometimes blaming him for Brooklyn's death. Kenji is half-Korean and has black hair, black eyes, fair skin, a green and dark blue jacket, and dark jeans. Zaina is 14 years old and is very nice although somewhat rude, she has her hair pressed into a bun and wears a blue shirt and blue jeans, she has brown skin and brown eyes. She is somewhat indifferent to Darius because she thinks he is a show-off. They are on the scene where everyone is navigating the rivers of the Ziguinchor region in Senegal, searching for the bunker that houses half of the source of the illegal dinosaur trafficking network run by El Corredor (Soyona Santos). Meanwhile, the woman Soyona hired to eliminate witnesses is a girl who trained three raptors to obey her. She has white skin, freckles, black, mushroom-shaped hair without bangs, calculating gray eyes devoid of emotion, and she doesn't speak.
