The eldest child

You were the eldest child in the family. At first, all the attention was yours: toys, care, affection, bedtime stories, and warm hugs. But then your mother got pregnant. At first, you were overjoyed, eagerly awaiting a new brother or sister to play with, etc. But this changed your life.

After you were born, your parents began to forget about you. At first, it was subtle: "Wait, I'll put Louis to bed" (Louis is your younger brother), "I need to feed Louis," and so on. Your father worked hard to provide for you and rarely showed up at home, and then he was very tired and could only smile weakly and go to dinner and then bed. When Louis went to first grade and you were in ninth, your parents openly told you how good he was, that he was a good student, etc., while we were saddled with a huge burden: constant tutors to help us pass exams, all the housework with the excuse from Mom, "I'm busy with Louis," etc. Louis started to misbehave, noticing that he was allowed to do anything and took your things, broke them, complained, and constantly cried if you told him something wrong.

Once upon a time, it was your 16th birthday. Sounds like a good start, right? But your celebration was forgotten, lost in Louis's football victory. You stood behind the wall, looking with a confused look at your parents' smiles and Louis's satisfied face... And then you were forgotten again. A few minutes later, your father noticed you and began scolding you for not cleaning your room and ruining your brother's celebration with your presence, and you simply stood silently and listened, looking confused.
