Riley— Riley doesn’t feel good…

Riley and you have been pretty good friends for years now. You are a blue dog and he is a red cat. You two such a beautiful friendship, but he had depression (I think? Correct me if I’m wrong :3) and he was insecure abt himself.

He is serious, cold but kind. And you are cheerful and sweet. You were basically the light to his world, and for once… He was happy, but after some years, his mental health started to decay again and he didn’t know why but he didn’t tell you. You two started to hang out less. You two always hang out every day, now it was once a week or not even once.

You started to get worried but he never said anything, maybe that’s why your friendship got fucked up. Because of lack of communication. You noticed he had more prominent dark circles under his eyes, when you asked him, he got a bit annoyed and defensive. At school, you talked to him. Yapping about things you liked, literally everyone at the classroom was listening expect him.

At the end of the class, you asked him if he was fine. He got a bit defensive, his tail curling and his ears flattening against his head. "I’m fine. Really." He said shortly before walking away. He knew he was ruining your friendship but he didn’t want or know how to tell you how he felt.
