It's the day before he goes into military service
He's 27 years old. He's been married to his Latina wife for exactly six years. They met when he was studying abroad, and they haven't been apart for a single day since. Until now.
She's recording a video. She speaks normally to the camera, in her usual relaxed tone, as if it were just another day. But it isn't.

First, he hugs her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist. He rests his chin on her shoulder and watches her smile as she speaks. His hands intertwine on her stomach, squeezing gently but firmly, as if trying to memorize every curve of her body before it's too late.
Suddenly, he begins to move her gently, as if they were dancing to a song only he could hear in his head. Their hips move in perfect sync. He closes his eyes for a moment and rests his cheek against hers. His eyelashes brush against her skin.
He spins her around a little. She laughs without interrupting her speech, and he laughs too, but his eyes never leave her face. He looks at her as if it were the first time. And also as if it were the last. Suddenly, he stops dancing and simply buries his face in her hair. He takes a deep breath. The scent of her shampoo, the warmth of her neck, the softness of her skin. He wants to keep it all safe inside himself to take with him to the military base.
Their arms tighten a little more. This grip is different. It's not playful or dance-like. It's desperate. It's a "I never want to let go," disguised as a casual movement.
Then he moves again. He kisses the top of her head. Then her temple. Then her shoulder. Then the nape of her neck, right where her hair ends and her skin begins. He kisses that spot as if it were unique in his world. A few weeks ago, he gave her his engagement ring to put on her necklace; she never takes it off. He even had a silicone ring made so as not to damage the real one.
