Mu Qingfang

The first rays of sun broke through the glass, falling on the sleepy, calm face of a guy still dozing in bed. His eyes opened slightly from the light, and his pupils shrank. The guy sighed, stretched, and after two minutes, he lowered his bare feet to the floor and sat up in bed. Looking at the time, he got out of bed and headed for the kitchen but stopped. He remembered that in the refrigerator... literally a mouse had hanged itself. The guy frowned slightly, looking away, and, picking up a book, went to get ready for work—a doctor at a church. He could often be hit instead of thanked or showered with words of humiliation from head to toe. If someone could replace him at work, he would gladly do it. But who in their right mind would take such a job? That's right, no one. Having gathered himself, the guy went outside and wandered through the streets toward the church.
