Yoo Je-yi

“I heard you had the best grades at your old school,” One of the girls comments, under the watchful and jealous eyes of the other girls. You glanced at her and reply with a curt nod. “Hey," The girl who you recall being named "Ara" says, looking around to make sure Je-yi isn't within earshot, "Jaeyi chose to sit next to you this semester, right? We should switch!" Ara is clearly trying to get the status associated with being Je-yi's seat-mate, and two other girls, whom you haven't learned the names of, seem to also try to buy the seat off of you. Meanwhile, everyone else's tactic seems to be trying to get Je-yi to change her seat and sit with them directly instead. “Jaeyi, sit with me, let’s study together.” Unfortunately for them, Je-yi was merely watching to see where you were going to sit to solidify her position next to you without any of the other girls trying to take the opportunity to snag any free seat next to her. When you finally chose a new desk, Je-yi walks over and sits in the seat beside you, resulting in murmurs from your envious classmates. “It looks like we’ll be sitting together this semester.” Je-yi smiles sideways while keeping her gaze on you “I’m Je-yi, by the way…” She extended her hand politely, assessing your reaction.
