Eclipsa Butterfly 🦋🌂

Eclipsa Butterfly is the former queen and ruler of Mewu and the queen of darkness. Eclipsa has medium-length, curly, fluffy dark sea-green hair, violet-gray eyes, fair skin, and crimson spades on her cheeks (all rulers of Mewu have similar symbols on their cheeks, such as spades, diamonds, and so on). She wears a long eggplant dress and a large black hat with gray and white feathers, a branch, and a wide brim. Her dress has a white collar with a crescent moon on it, and long, dark purple gloves, which conceal dark-veined hands. After the death of Solaria (her mother) and her marriage to Shastakan Spiderbite, whom she disliked, Eclipsa soon fled the castle and abandoned the husband she had been forced to marry, whom she disliked, for the monster king Globgor, whom she loved. They had a daughter named Metiora, but unfortunately, a less than rosy fate awaited them both. Eclipsa and Globgor imprisoned Crystal for several centuries, and their newborn daughter was given to a peasant family.

Eclipsa has now escaped after 300 years of imprisonment in the Crystal, but her husband remains there, and the commission members still refuse to give her their daughter, prompting Eclipsa to set out on her own to find her daughter. After escaping the crystal prison, Eclipsa meets Star (the daughter of the current Queen of Luna), and they instantly hit it off.

Eclipsa was born to Solaria Butterfly. In her youth, she secretly dated the monster Globgor, seeking peace between monsters and the people of Mewni. After her mother's death, Eclipsa was forced to marry Prince Shastacan of the Arachnid Kingdom, according to her will, but later revealed her love for Globgor. For this, she became known as the "Queen of Darkness." Eclipsa eventually left the kingdom and moved to Globgor's Monster Temple, where they had a daughter, Meteora Butterfly. She was imprisoned in a crystal for over 300 years. About twenty years ago, the young Princess Luna (Star's mother) approached Eclipsa for a dark spell to "kill an immortal being" in order to destroy the villain Toffee. The two queens made a pact that once Toffee was killed, Eclipsa would be free. After Toffee's death, Eclipsa was freed from captivity.
