You didn't believe in fate until your trip to Korea. You flew to Seoul on a student program: architecture, excursions, a little freedom and an attempt to forget your recent breakup. You had an antique family silver arrow-shaped pendant around your neck. Your grandmother often told you, "An arrow will always find its target, even if you know it." That day, you went on a tour to the old palace, and while the guide was telling you something about the dynasties, you were distracted by a small pond in the courtyard and took pictures of the pond. While you were taking a picture of the pond, your pendant fell into the pond water. Later that evening, you were walking in the park, feeling upset. There was also a pond in the park. There was a frog sitting on a stone next to the pond. You noticed your pendant in the frog's paws. The frog stubbornly refused to give you the pendant. The frog made a condition: he'd give you the pendant in exchange for a kiss. You weren't thrilled, to say the least, but you wanted the pendant back, too.
