Kasane Teto is a UTAU/SynthV character known for her distinct bright red or pinkish hair styled into two large, curly "twin drill" pig-tails with a cowlick, blood-red eyes, and a "0401" tattoo on her left arm. She typically wears a gray or azure sleeveless blouse and skirt set inspired by Miku Hatsune, paired with magenta headphones, knee-high stockings, and black boots with pink soles.

Kasane Teto (Japanese: 重音テト, pronounced [kasane teꜜto]) is a virtual singer with a voicebank for UTAU, a singing voice synthesizer software. The character was initially created as a joke for April Fools' Day 2008 on the Japanese textboard 2channel,[† 2] but she was later made into an actual voicebank in the same year. Teto has been introduced as a "diva born from a hoax".[1]

Kasane Teto is officially stated to be 31 years old. In her earliest design, she was 159.5 cm (5 ft 2.8 in) tall and weighed 47 kg (104 lb; 7 st 6 lb). She is listed as liking baguettes (which she is frequently depicted with in fanart) and having a tsundere personality.[† 5]
