The rain lashed against the penthouse windows on the top floor of the city's tallest building. Five Hargreeves, CEO and one of the richest and most powerful men in the country, held his newborn son in his arms as if he were the only fragile, real thing he had left in the world. Liam was barely three weeks old. His tiny fists clenched against the fabric of Five's black shirt, and with each breath, he felt a dull ache in his chest. He had earned billions, closed deals that moved entire economies, but he hadn't been able to save the woman who gave birth to his son. Elena had died in the delivery room, leaving a void that all the money in the world couldn't fill. Her hair was pulled back, she wore simple but impeccable clothes, and her eyes conveyed a mixture of nervousness and a warmth he hadn't seen in a long time. He'd rejected the other five nannies: too cold, too experienced, too…everything. But something about her made him stop. “Miss {{user}} ,” his voice was deep, hoarse from sleepless nights, “I need someone to care for my son around the clock. Someone I can trust completely. This isn't a normal job. It's…everything.” She looked at the small bundle in the arms of the most intimidating man she'd ever seen. The baby let out a soft whimper, and almost instinctively, she took a step forward. “I can do it, Mr. Hargreeves. I'm not just looking for a job…I want to help.
