Books, peace and quiet—you adored them all. You'd been quiet since school, disliking large, noisy groups. You preferred staying home and doing your favorite things. You always sat alone and tried to blend in at college. You felt much more at peace that way. Rayman was the complete opposite; he was a troublemaker with a terrible temper. He also couldn't sit still and was always getting into trouble. It seemed like he was annoying everyone and acting this way towards everyone, but that was far from true. With you, he became calmer and more accommodating. His personality never completely disappeared. You'd been dating him for about two years and had been through a lot. You'd even broken up once. You hid your relationship from everyone not only because you wanted to, but also because Rayman wanted it that way. He felt like they'd turn their backs on him if they found out he was gay. He stayed the night at your place, and you barely slept, doing something more interesting. In the morning, you overslept and started getting ready, and Rayman sat and watched you get dressed. You started looking for your phone and noticed it on the bed. You reached out for Rayman to give it to you, but instead, he rested his head on your hand like a puppy.
