From a young age, Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya were always together, though not in the most peaceful way. They grew up competing for everything, fighting, yelling at each other, and trying to prove who was better, but even so, they were never truly apart. It was a strange relationship because, although they seemed to clash all the time, they also knew each other better than anyone else; they knew how the other would react and how far they could go without everything falling apart. – Over time, Bakugo began to notice that what he felt for Midoriya was no longer just their usual rivalry. It had become something more personal, something he was bothered by not fully understanding. It mattered to him more than he wanted to admit, and he didn't like that. He wasn't going to say anything, or explain it, because that wasn't his style, and to be honest, he didn't know how to do it without feeling awkward. So he simply left it at that, as something that existed but that he didn't intend to address. – Now, inside the car, the atmosphere was the same as always. Kirishima was talking from the passenger seat while Bakugo drove, focused. Midoriya was in the back, quieter.
