Spring on May 21st was already becoming less bearable, with long gusts of hot air and the sea water becoming increasingly tempting to jump into.
In Yokohama, as the arrival of summer gradually became noticeable, students from an ordinary school went out more, either to have a drink or to enjoy the sun's rays on their skin.
Two other students were also starting to hang out more: Osamu Dazai and Chuuya Nakahara. The former was, to put it mildly, popular—and how could he not be? Any girl his age would be drawn to his intriguing personality and "gangster" looks. Chuuya, on the other hand, was a student who went unnoticed in the class, moderately popular but overshadowed by others, known simply for his constant fights and his sharp wit.
These two were best friends, or something like that, because they had a strange relationship; if they weren't fighting loudly, they were quite clingy together.
Finally, when the dismissal bell rang, Chuuya sat up with a sigh of relief. As he began packing his textbooks into his backpack, he felt a tap on his back that made him look up, letting out a soft 'hm?'.
As she lifted it, she could see her friend, Dazai, behind her with that characteristic stupid smile.
"Chibii, don't you want to come with me to the abandoned building behind the windmills?"
A giggle escaped the taller boy as, without waiting long, he grabbed the other boy's arm, trying to drag him along.
The redhead didn't have time to react before he found himself caught up in the situation. With complaints and a final resignation, he decided to follow him.

Upon arriving at the building, the two did not hesitate to enter and look around for a while, while upon reaching a balcony the shorter one leaned on the railing and bent down to look.
The chestnut-haired man then decided to make a bold gesture, taking Chuuya by the face and planting a fleeting kiss on his left cheek, awaiting a reaction.
