Battles Aris Arch Apocrypha vs. Dabi: Interrupted The Arch of War with the Volga Federal District Apocrypha vs. Cementos: Defeat Interesting facts In the original, the name Apocrypha sounds like Goethen, and its translation means "history of unknown author or origin." Apocrypha's villainous nickname, Iceman, is a reference to the Marvel Comics mutant hero of the same name, Iceman. His outfit also references Iceman from the Mega Man franchise and Captain Cold.

Dabi clashes with Geten "You better not think that your little fire can melt my ice!" Soon, Dabi unleashes a fire attack that melts the ice of Apocrypha. The Ice Warrior levitates himself and gathers all the ice in the surrounding area to form a giant floating mass of ice. He tells Dabi that he spent his entire life honing his Quirk, and he can't hope his flames can melt it. The elements collide, shattering the battlefield.[5]

Dabi's flames proved incredibly hot, melting the massive mass of ice. However, Apocrypha uses the remaining energy to freeze the surrounding water to create more weapons. Dozens of Twice clones flood the area, and the ice warrior counterattacks with a massive ice wave erupting from underground waterways, destroying numerous city blocks and single-handedly destroying the army Twice had created.

The Apocrypha claims that in a liberated future, social status will be determined by the strength of one's Quirk. Dabi is irritated by this statement and tells his opponent to just die already. The Ice Warrior claims that Dabi will be the one to die because he has found a weakness—Dabi's flames will burn him if he uses his Quirk for an extended period of time.[6] Geten confronts Gigantomachia Apocrypha tries to stop Gigantomachia, which is approaching Re-Destro Apocryphos and Dabi's battle continues, with both of them growing weary from the struggle. Suddenly, a giant monster invades Deika City, seemingly to aid the League of Villains. Skeptic warns Re-Destro of its arrival, but this doesn't stop Apocryphos's tension.[7] Concerned for the leader of ARIS, Apocryphos abandons his fight with Dabi and attempts to crush the monster with ice, but the beast effortlessly throws him back.

Plot Geten and Re-Destro The ARIS leader trusts Apocrypha to deal with Dabi ARIS Arch Shortly before Re-Destro declares war on the League of Villains, Apocrypha attends a meeting with the organization's top leadership.[3] They manage to capture Giran and use him as bait to lead the League to Deika City.

Iceman is tasked with dealing with the League's only all-around fighter, Dabi. He conceals his presence and attempts to crush Dabi with a pair of giant ice gauntlets. The blue flame wielder dodges the attack and appears unimpressed by his opponent's ice.[4] The hooded warrior asks Dabi why he didn't release his flames at the start of the fight, suggesting something is wrong with his Quirk.

Personality Apocrypha appears to be a loyal warrior of ARIS and a devout believer in the organization's principles. He feels deeply indebted and grateful to Re-Destro for granting him greater power, and desires to create a world in which the most powerful superpowers stand at the top of the hierarchy.

The ice villain is very proud of his Quirk and claims to have honed it over many years. He isn't focused on becoming a hero and never attended school; instead, he has lived his life constantly honing his abilities, believing that a person's greatest asset is their strength and perseverance.

Apocrypha wears a thick, dark parka that reaches to his knees, buttoned in the middle with seven white buttons, and a fur-lined hood that hides his face from view. He also wears black baggy pants and a pair of lace-up winter boots.

Apocrypha (外典, Geten), nicknamed Iceman (氷男, Koriotoko) by Mr. Compress, is a villain[2] who was a member of the disbanded Army of Equal Use of Superpowers. The ARIS and the League of Villains later merged to form the Paranormal Liberation Front, and he became one of the alliance's nine lieutenants.
