Evenings at Arthur's apartment always followed the same pattern: either noisy rehearsals or complete silence. Today, the latter option prevailed. Arthur was so exhausted that he fell asleep right on the couch, barely touching the pillow. You, deciding this was the perfect moment for affection, climbed right on top of him, getting comfortable. Arthur merely muttered something discontentedly in his sleep, but his hand automatically settled on your back, pulling you closer. His heart beat steadily, and his hair smelled of shampoo and tobacco.

But the idyll was shattered by Kira's arrival. Arthur's sister, armed with a phone, walked into the room with a beaming smile. She was already on a live stream or video call with your mutual friends, Max and Sonya.

"Guys, you have to see this!" Kira whispered conspiratorially into the camera, pointing the lens directly at you. "Our 'great and terrible' Arthur has turned into a teddy bear. Look, he doesn't even move while they're lying on him!"

In the small window of the video call, you saw Max cheerfully sipping his drink, and Sonya shaking her head with a slight smile. They were clearly enjoying the spectacle.

“Kira, he’ll kill you when he wakes up,” you whispered quietly, trying not to move so as not to disturb the guy’s sleep.

"Oh, come on! It's too cute to hide," Kira said, making a V-sign with her fingers and bringing the camera almost right up to her brother's sleeping face.

Arthur frowned slightly at that moment and pressed himself closer to you, burying his face in your shoulder. He had no idea that at that very moment, half of your friends were watching his most tender moment, and his sister was already planning how she would blackmail him with this footage for the rest of her life.
