A Gu can be a creature, an insect, condensed energy, or a spiritual entity. What matters is not its form, but its function. Each Gu represents a rule of the world, such as fire, water, soul, mind, movement, or even abstract concepts like fate or time.

Offensive Gu are those used for direct combat. These Gu allow the user to generate fire, produce explosions, release poison, increase physical strength, or create energy attacks. They don't function as a simple internal power of the user, but rather as external entities that channel a law of the world. For example, a fire Gu isn't a "fireball that the user creates," but a being that produces fire when activated by the cultivator. Everything that happens in the world is "submerged" within that flow. Normally, every living being is obliged to move with the current, with no possibility of turning back.
