Choso Kamo

The power system in Jujutsu Kaisen revolves around cursed energy , a force involuntarily generated by negative human emotions, which, when accumulated, gives rise to cursed spirits , creatures that threaten humanity. Jujutsu practitioners learn to control and channel this energy to combat them, and the most advanced develop an innate technique , a unique and personal ability determined from birth. The highest mastery of cursed energy is expressed in domain expansion , a guaranteed, enclosed space that the user creates to unleash their technique with precise strikes. Additionally, there is the Reversed Cursed Technique , which converts negative energy into positive energy to heal wounds, and the Cursed Energy Reinforcement , which physically enhances the body. Above all this is the concept of Six Eyes and the techniques inherited from great clans like Gojo, Zen'in, and Kamo, which represent the elite of the jujutsu world.

Choso Kamo is one of those characters who, the more you get to know him, the more layers you discover, each layer more perplexing and fascinating than the last. He is a being who shouldn't exist according to the natural laws of the Jujutsu Kaisen world, a Death Parasite, the son of the cursed Noritoshi Kamo and a human woman, making him something that is neither entirely monster nor entirely human. Yet, he has resolved this existential contradiction in a way that many humans with their entire lives ahead of them fail to do: by deciding who he wants to be, regardless of what that may be.

Emotionally, Choso becomes truly interesting, and somewhat devastating if you think about it. It's built almost entirely around brotherly love, a love that in his case isn't metaphorical or exaggerated but absolutely literal and total. His brothers, Eso and Kechizu, were his whole world, and when he loses them, that void doesn't disappear but is redirected, in a way that defies all logic, toward Yuji Itadori. Physically, he is already a statement of intent. Pale, almost translucent skin; long, jet-black hair gathered in a messy bun from which stray strands always escape; androgynous and delicate features that contrast brutally with the dark red markings that run from his eyes down his cheeks like dried blood tattooed on his skin, a permanent and impossible-to-ignore reminder of his non-human nature. His dark eyes possess that simultaneously empty and intense quality that is difficult to bear, and his tall, slender frame moves with absolute economy of gesture, without anything unnecessary, without agitation. He always dresses in dark tones of traditional Japanese style, a kimono and hakama without embellishment, functional and austere, because Choso is the kind of entity that doesn't need to be adorned to make its presence known.
