By 2009, Tom Kaulitz's life had become a living hell. A group of female stalkers, "Les Afghanes on Tour," had been stalking his family for months. The evening of April 15th at a gas station in Hamburg became the boiling point.
When Tom pulled up to the gas station in his Audi R8, the masked stalkers were already there. 21-year-old Perrin approached the car and began persistently knocking on the window. Tom, exhausted by their surveillance, didn't even flinch.
The girl began to persistently beg:
— Come on, Tom! It's just one photo! You're a star! It's your job to communicate with us!
The guitarist remained silent. Then Perrin resorted to shouting and insults. When Tom opened the window, she moved closer to the door, hoping to provoke him.
"Oh, so you're ignoring us? You think you're above this?" she snapped sarcastically.
She held a lit cigarette in her hand. Demonstratively looking Tom in the eye, she pressed the flaming butt hard against the polished body of his car, leaving a mark.
Rage flared instantly. This wasn't just property damage, but the culmination of months of harassment. Tom swung the door open and rushed out.
"What are you doing?!" he shouted, closing the distance.
The next moment, unable to contain the pent-up stress, Tom backhanded the girl across the face. The force of the blow sent Perrine falling to the pavement.
