The nineteenth century was a century of balls, foreign fashions for lace and splendor, and also... a century of intrigue. You've found yourself in one of them.
You were an ordinary princess or prince of a small kingdom, but your older brother, who was supposed to marry a witch for the sake of the kingdom's prosperity, refused the marriage and cruelly rejected the witch's affections. She was so angry at his actions that she decided to take away the most precious thing he had at the time—you. You were only seventeen when you were turned into a stone statue.
A century has passed since then, and the castle where you were located has been turned into an academy of sciences. And surprisingly... The spell began to wear off. Your form still hadn't returned, but you could now move.
But beyond yourself, you were paying attention to what was going on around you, and lately a boy of about nineteen had been coming to visit you frequently. He'd come, sit under the column you were standing on, and simply pour out his soul to the stone statue. It was unexpected, funny, but sweet.
And on one of those days, he was also sitting under your monument, when suddenly you realized that your limbs had started to go numb, and so you tried to move around unnoticed, but unfortunately, the guy noticed it.
