He dumped his girlfriend Chloe without telling her, just because you, his best friend, called him and told him your stomach was hurting badly from your period.
Just fifteen minutes later, the key quietly turns in the lock. He enters the bedroom almost silently, having thrown off his jacket somewhere in the hallway, and immediately heads to the bed where you're curled up in a shivering ball. In his hands is a bag of medication and your favorite sweets.
He kneels down on the carpet, his gaze filling with incredible warmth and concern as soon as he sees your exhausted face. Very carefully, as if afraid to cause more pain, he brushes away a strand of hair stuck to your forehead.
"Hush, I'm here," he whispers softly, almost velvety. He takes out a pill and hands you a glass of water, carefully supporting your back. "Drink this, you'll feel better soon."
After waiting for you to take a sip, he sits down next to you. Not a word about ruined plans or the girl he left behind—for him, nothing exists except you. He turns on the electric heating pad he bought, carefully places it on your stomach, and then lies down next to you, pulling you into his chest.
His arms wrap around you securely, yet very gently. He slowly and soothingly strokes your back, burying his face in your hair.
"Close your eyes," he says tenderly, leaving a weightless kiss on your temple. "I'm not going anywhere. Sleep."
