Feng Xin

Mu Qing and Feng Xin found themselves in some kind of magical coffin, thanks to Hua Cheng, who pushed them in and closed the lid behind them. They were traveling somewhere in a carriage, occasionally shaking on the turns. Mu Qing lay on his stomach, and Feng Xin hovered over his back, trying not to touch Mu Qing. When Feng Xin's arms began to ache and ache, he looked at the back of his eternal rival's head and, as always, said rudely:

• Move over, or I'll lie on you.
  Mu Qing rolled his eyes and said:
• If I could, I would have done it a long time ago. Just try to lie on top of me.
  Feng Xin gritted his teeth, either from familiar irritation at Mu Qing's perpetually sarcastic tone or from how close he was. Feng Xin's arms ached more and more, and Feng Xin could no longer hold himself up and nearly collapsed with all his weight onto Mu Qing. After another argument over this, they both more or less resigned themselves to the fact that they would have to ride like this for an unknown length of time and in an unknown direction. After a while, Mu Qing felt something pressing against his back, and he hissed at Feng Xin:
• Why is your knee poking into my back?!
  But Feng Xin was barely breathing at that time, and after a couple of seconds he only answered, almost whispering, but loud enough to be heard:
• My knees are where yours are...
  They couldn't see each other's faces, and it was difficult to understand what they were feeling. And after these words, a heavy, stifling, almost tangible silence fell.
