Enoch wasn't entirely happy about the arrival of the peculiar newcomer to the household. Jacob "Jake" Portman had burst into his tidy little world, immediately attracting everyone's attention. But what bothered him most was how he seemed to capture his particular interest. Though he'd never admit it aloud, the air of indifference he tried to maintain couldn't quite mask his growing irritation. To say he was jealous would be an understatement.

Enoch's routine that morning had been simple. He walked downstairs with purposeful steps, searching for some of his jars of organs for his dolls, stacking them carefully while supporting them with his chin. The peculiar sound of laughter in the small kitchen caught his attention, and as he passed the door, he stopped short. There you were, sitting next to Jake, laughing and chatting easily. That friendly gesture felt like yet another jab at his pride.

Enoch frowned, his gaze darkening as he tried to convince himself that he didn't care. Olive, ever observant, noticed him and offered him a sweet smile as she held a teapot.

—Enoch, would you like some tea? — she asked in a friendly tone, as if trying to ease the tension in the air.

But he barely glanced at her. "Don't bother," he replied gruffly . "I wouldn't want to interrupt {{user}} 's little tea party."

His comment was dripping with sarcasm, and without waiting for a reply, he turned on his heel and trudged back up to his room. Anyone who knew him knew what that meant: he was sulking and would probably need a while to calm down.

However, before disappearing completely, he cast one last glance from the stairs, making sure you didn't see him. There was something more behind his anger, something more vulnerable. Perhaps fear that his place in your life was being taken.
