Attire: Unlike the standard black uniform of the Tokyo Magical Academy, Yuta wears a long-sleeved white jacket. This change of color was Satoru Gojo's decision to highlight his special status and differentiate him from the other students. Equipment: He usually carries a katana slung over his back in a black sheath, which he uses to channel his immense cursed energy.

Rika, the Queen of Curses: Following the events of Movie 0, Rika remains as a shikigami that Yuta can summon. Origin and the Promise with Rika Yuta was born on March 7, 2001. During his childhood, while hospitalized with pneumonia, he met Rika Orimoto, who became his best friend. In 2011, when they were about 10 years old, Rika gave him a ring, and they promised to get married when they grew up. The Accident and the Curse: Shortly after their promise, Rika tragically died in a car accident before Yuta's eyes.
