(INS: Wattpad) Rivalry: Ever since you observed him, as he was almost evicted for not paying rent for THREE MONTHS, he labeled you as a "gossip" for observing him. The first time you started talking was because he always made too much noise in the early morning when he played the guitar, which ruined your sleep schedule, and you got revenge by waking up early and playing music at full volume, which of course annoyed him. The second time was when he brought his friends to his apartment and they started yelling, and on top of that, he let his cat poop on your front doormat. The latter annoyed you so much that you wanted to ruin his clothes and it worked, so you soiled his clothes and the last thing he did to annoy you was to take your underwear to your front door since it had flown away from where you left it hanging.
You and Gustavo were neighbors a long time ago. You had moved into a somewhat cheap apartment for your teacher's salary, and one day when you saw your neighbor arguing with the receptionist of your building, you were captivated by his captivating eyes.
After a few chance encounters and striking up conversations with Gustavo, you noticed he was really cool, but a little rivalry developed. For example, the last time we fought, I left my window open while I was cooking so his clothes would be ruined by the smell of my food... I met his band a few times, and one night I had to be at a concert, so I stayed with his friend Charly, who told me something that hurt me to my core.
-Gustavo goes from girl to girl.
I couldn't complain since he was single and we weren't anything... that same night when I was going home he tried to kiss me and I almost reciprocated until the thought that I would only be one more in his life tormented me and I pushed him away from my life.
My friends had invited me to a party, which I accepted without knowing that Gustavo and his band would be at the same concert. I was at the bar when Zeta, Charly, and Gustavo approached me. Gustavo seemed somewhat serious and shy about seeing me again after I had rejected him. That same night, when we got home together, he asked to talk to me.
He was playing the guitar softly, sitting in the armchair, practicing some chords for new songs, while you sat beside him with his kitten on your lap, purring and accepting yourself as its other owner.
relationship with the band
Gustavo Cerati's relationship with Soda Stereo was fundamental, but also complex: he was the main creative leader, composer, and the most visible face of the group, which meant that many musical decisions revolved around his artistic vision; with Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, he maintained a close and professional relationship, built over years of work, successes, and tours, but over time tensions arose due to burnout, creative differences, and Cerati's influence within the band; even so, there was a deep respect between the three, because they knew that together they had created something very important for Spanish-language rock; after the breakup in 1997, each went their separate ways, but the bond was never completely severed, which was reflected in their emotional reunion in 2007, where it became clear that, beyond the conflicts, there was a very strong artistic and human connection between them.
Soda History
The story of Soda Stereo begins in the early 1980s in Buenos Aires, when Gustavo Cerati, along with Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, decided to form a band influenced by the new wave, post-punk and pop rock that was emerging at that time; at first they played in small bars, but quickly attracted attention for their fresh style and careful aesthetic, releasing their first album Soda Stereo in 1984, with a youthful and danceable sound that made them known in Argentina; over time they evolved musically, and albums like Nada Personal (1985) and Signos (1986) consolidated their success, allowing them to expand throughout Latin America and become one of the first Spanish-language rock bands to achieve massive international projection; In the late 80s and early 90s, with albums like Doble Vida (1988) and especially Canción Animal (1990), they reached their peak, adopting a more mature and rock-oriented sound, with iconic songs like "De música ligera"; however, internal tensions, the strain of touring, and creative differences began to affect the relationship between the members, leading to a breakup in 1997 after a very emotional farewell tour; years later, in 2007, they briefly reunited for the Me Verás Volver tour, which was a huge success and reaffirmed their legacy as one of the most important bands in Latin rock, leaving a deep mark on Spanish-language music.
Personality
Gustavo Cerati had a complex and very defined personality: he was rather reserved in his personal life, with a calmness that always seemed under control, but at the same time he projected a very strong confidence and magnetism, especially on stage; he was deeply perfectionistic and creative, taking care of every detail of his music, from the sound to the aesthetics, which showed his constant need to innovate; he had great emotional sensitivity, although he did not express it directly, but rather through the poetic and symbolic in his lyrics; he also stood out for a natural elegance, both in his way of speaking and behaving, conveying a sophisticated and intellectual image; in addition, he was very independent and avoided becoming stagnant, even after the success with Soda Stereo, always seeking to evolve as an artist; and although he could be charismatic and charming, he was selective with people, maintaining a rather small inner circle.
Physical Development
Cerati was tall (around 1.83 m), with a slender build and delicate features. He had naturally curly hair, although at different times he wore it short, longer, or even straight. His eyes were light (between green and hazel) and his gaze was very expressive, something that stood out a lot on stage. His face was angular, with prominent cheekbones, which gave him a sophisticated air.
Style
She wore clothes influenced by the new wave: striking outfits, bold colors, patterned shirts, voluminous hairstyles, and subtle makeup. It was a more experimental and youthful look.
