Jotaro and Jolyne

Jolyne, Ermes, and Emporio soon arrive at the hospital where Pucci is hiding. However, the third of DIO's children, who answered Pucci's call, intervenes with his Stand, Under World. Able to summon memories from the ground, Donatello Versus traps Jolyne and Ermes in a plane crash. However, Jolyne and Ermes manage to escape and defeat Donatello. Nevertheless, Donatello manages to steal a memory disc and returns it to Pucci's brother, Weather Report.

A strange new event occurs when the streets are overrun by millions of snails, and people are transformed into snails. Although infected, Jolyne and Ermes escape from the hospital and force Donatello to drive for them. Jolyne interrupts Weather Report and Pucci's battle, but she tragically dies while Pucci escapes.

Jolyne and her companions now have to drive to Cape Canaveral to stop what Pucci is planning. However, gravity suddenly shifts horizontally, and Ermes is knocked off course by falling debris. Now in the main courtyard of Cape Canaveral, Jolyne battles the new Stand, C-Moon. Although C-Moon's blows are dangerous, as they can flip her body inside out, Jolyne gains the upper hand until Pucci intervenes and guides C-Moon to strike her chest. Jolyne seemingly dies, much to her companion's dismay.

However, as Jotaro approaches, it is revealed that Jolyne survived and resumes her fight. Jotaro arrives thanks to Ermes, and time stops. Pucci is wounded and surrounded, but he finds a way to unlock his ultimate power sooner than expected. As he floats away, no one can stop him from unlocking his final support, and a brilliant light envelops everyone.

Jolyne and her companions discover that time is accelerating, and that living beings are unaffected. Pucci and his Stand, Made in Heaven.

Jolyne is a young American woman.

Jolyne's childhood was often spent without her father, as Jotaro was mostly at work, even when Jolyne needed his constant attention. When she was 14, her life as a teenager took a downward spiral when she was mistaken for a suspect in a robbery she didn't commit and then fled from an officer after stealing a motorcycle. Arrested and held in a detention cell, falsely accused of the crime, she and her mother proclaimed her innocence and even begged Jotaro to get her out of trouble. However, since he didn't believe them, she was ultimately sent to a juvenile detention center.

When her mother divorced Jotaro, Jolyne became even more frustrated when he left the family. Soon, she joined the Hell Riders, a gang of motorcycle riders and car thieves, and spent more time getting into trouble.

At 19, having cleaned up her act and left the gang, she went on a date with a wealthy, well-dressed young man named Romeo. Driving home, Romeo and Jolyne, both intoxicated, were involved in a car accident, with Romeo fatally striking a pedestrian. Romeo persuaded Jolyne to help him and forget the whole incident. A few days later, however, Jolyne was found at her home and arrested. Thinking her lawyer would help her get out of the legal trouble she was in, Jolyne accepted a deal from him, which ultimately backfired, resulting in her being sentenced to fifteen years in Green Dolphin Street Maximum Security Prison.

Emporio, Jolyne, and Ermes escape from prison and pursue Enrico Pucci across Florida. Jolyne turns to her old boyfriend, Romeo, for the first time, and he gives her a helicopter out of remorse. However, the trio soon crashes when they are attacked by Rikiel, one of Pucci's sons.

Main article: Stone Free
Stone Free is a Stand that grants Jolyne the ability to unravel parts of her body into strings. This makes it a very versatile Stand, as it allows her to both eavesdrop on conversations and escape and hide by unraveling parts of herself.

When she assembles the rope, Jolyne can properly materialize Stone Free, either partially or completely. Stone Free is a humanoid Stand with physical prowess comparable to that of the strongest Stands.

Jolyne, unlike the rest of her family, received her Stand by being cut by an amulet (later revealed to be a disguised "Stand-creating" stone arrowhead) given to her by her father.

Hand-to-hand combat: She has also proven capable of defending herself, as seen in detail against Officer Westwood. She has extensive knowledge of self-defense, which she demonstrates throughout the series, particularly against Pucci.

Intelligence: Jolyne's greatest asset is her imagination. The versatile power of her Stand allows her a wide range of movements, which she uses extensively. For example, when Pucci used C-Moon to invert Jolyne's body, she used Stone Free to create a "Mobius Strip," effectively rendering her invulnerable to his power.

True to the Joestar tradition, she is particularly adept at using anything in front of her to her advantage, including the environment and even the powers of her enemies. Her sharp mind has allowed her to prevail against her foes.

She combines her tactics with a high level of recklessness, often putting herself in danger to surprise enemies with an unexpected move. The particular nature of her power, however, ensures that she can disregard some of the damage that ordinary Stand users couldn't risk in a fight.

His intelligence is intuitive to a certain degree.

Capricious, abrupt, and irritable with her elders, Jolyne in her teens would easily have been considered a troublemaker and a lost cause. Resentful of Jotaro for neglecting her, she repeatedly tried to get her father's attention by committing multiple petty crimes and was jailed several times for them. Due to Jotaro's neglect of his daughter, Jolyne mentioned that she was dependent on the affection and approval of those around her, even being willing to cover up Romeo's accident, though she was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for it.

After acquiring her Stand, Stone Free, and being told by Jotaro that he cared for her, Jolyne matures considerably, becoming braver and more confident. "Reviving" Jotaro, who fell into a coma after Whitesnake stole his Stand and memories, becomes her priority.

She possesses a fierce determination, which allows her to endure many battles and greatly inspires her comrades. After learning of DIO's plan, Jolyne took pride in her lineage and chose to continue Jotaro's efforts to seal away the threat DIO left behind. She stoically endures the hardships she faces and presses forward toward her goal, disregarding suffering and risks. Her determination is so strong that she is willing to lose a limb or even her life to defeat her enemy and save her comrades, an inclination especially frequent in her and culminating in her sacrifice to lead Emporio away from Pucci. Jolyne had still expressed doubts once about being able to stop Pucci, after Weather Report died and the priest escaped her for the second time.

She maintains her confrontational attitude throughout the manga. As a former criminal who lived in a maximum-security prison, Jolyne had to toughen up and is a particularly blunt JoJo. Her rare interactions with villains are either rude provocations or threats.

Jolyne is a young woman of above-average height and a slender, athletic build. Her eyes are often depicted as turquoise-blue.

With bold eyes, she wears her hair in two "layers": a dark base that includes two odango buns on either side of her head, as well as a small braid that hangs down the back; above which, whether dyed or bleached, she maintains a braid that wraps around two buns, joining in a short section at the back, and the strands that frame her face.

He has a small star-shaped birthmark on the back of his left shoulder, near his neck; and he has tattooed on the upper part of his left forearm the image of butterfly wings overlapping with a downward-pointing dagger, which reappear on the chest of his suits.

Jolyne's portrayal in Part VI shifts from a slightly slimmer and more slender figure to a more dynamic and athletic physique. Simultaneously, she wears a series of primarily dark outfits, characterized by spiderweb-like designs.

In Part 6: Stone Ocean, Jotaro is around 40 years old and is one of the central characters of the story.
Here we meet his daughter, Jolyne Cujoh.
Jotaro tries to protect her from a threat connected to Enrico Pucci, a former ally of DIO. The problem is that Jotaro and Jolyne have a rather distant relationship. Jotaro wasn't as present in her life as he should have been, and this causes Jolyne to resent him. However, when Jolyne is in danger, Jotaro shows that he loves her deeply.
Jotaro ends up being attacked by Pucci, who steals his memories and his Stand. As a result, he is left virtually incapacitated.
Later, Jotaro regains his abilities and returns to fight to protect Jolyne and stop Pucci.

Jotaro is Japanese

Jotaro, Joseph, Muhammad Avdol, Noriaki Kakyoin, Jean Pierre Polnareff and the dog Iggy travel through several countries on a journey from Japan to Egypt because DIO had revived, causing Jotaro's mother to be on the verge of death from the weight of having a stand.
Along the way, they face numerous Stand users sent by DIO. Jotaro starts out quite cold and distant, but gradually reveals that he cares deeply for his friends and family, though he rarely says so directly. One of his most important moments occurs against D'Arby, where he demonstrates that he can maintain an absurd calm even in extreme situations. Because apparently, the Joestar response to danger is to gamble everything and wear a bored expression.
When they finally arrive in Egypt, Jotaro faces DIO, who uses the Stand The World.
The World possesses a terrifying ability: to stop time. DIO seems virtually invincible, but Jotaro discovers that Star Platinum can also stop time, though he was initially unaware of its power. During the battle, DIO severely injures Jotaro and kills Joseph. However, Jotaro manages to defeat him using his intelligence and the power of Star Platinum. After the battle, Joseph is revived thanks to a blood transfusion Jotaro obtains from DIO's body. Jotaro and Joseph return to Japan, and Holly finally recovers.

In Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, Jotaro is around 28 years old. He now works as a marine biologist and researcher, and travels to the Japanese city of Morioh because he needs to find another member of the Joestar family: Josuke Higashikata.
Josuke is Joseph's son, making him Jotaro's uncle. Jotaro also faces the serial killer Yoshikage Kira, one of the series' major villains. By this point, Jotaro is much more mature. He remains serious and reserved, but acts as a mentor to the younger characters.

Main article: Star Platinum
One of the strongest Stands in the series, Star Platinum possesses superhuman senses, strength, stamina, precision, and speed. Like other physically powerful (or short-range) Stands, Star Platinum suffers from a narrow range of activity; it only activates within a 2-3 meter radius of Jotaro.

It is similar to DIO's The World, and, as would eventually turn out, it can also be used to stop time; an ability revealed right at the end of his fight against DIO.

The Star tarot card, on which it was named, symbolizes hope above all else.

Intelligence: Jotaro is generally remarkably calm under pressure, and is very aware of his surroundings and capabilities; which, when combined, make him a very reliable fighter.

Knowledge: It is implied that Jotaro has accumulated a considerable amount of varied knowledge. At the beginning of Part 3, inside his cell, in order to understand his Stand, he had collected a number of books on the paranormal. In Part 4, it is revealed that he specialized in marine biology; and he skillfully instructs Josuke for the task of hunting down two Stand-user rats.

Tenacity: Jotaro is naturally confident and intolerant of suggestions that he should differ in any way; backed by his own strength, as well as that of his Stand.

Trick: Jotaro is apparently able to store up to five lit cigarettes in his mouth, keep them lit once inside, and then drink juice without extinguishing them. Oingo failed to replicate this technique.

Jotaro demonstrates a protective side towards his daughter Jolyne, though his past abandonment strained their relationship. Another example of his diminishing distance is his admitting that he cared for her, which motivates Jolyne throughout her adventure.

After she is revived, Anasui, one of Jolyne's classmates who was in love with her, asks Jotaro to approve his marriage proposal. Initially reacting as if he were talking nonsense, when Jotaro sees Jolyne leaning against Anasui's chest, he pulls her into his arms protectively, leaving Jolyne disoriented regarding their interaction.

During the final fight against Pucci, Jotaro's love for his family proved stronger than him, saving Jolyne.

During his appearance in the story, Jotaro appears to be a fairly tall man by Japanese standards, standing 1.95 m tall, with a handsome, light-skinned, and well-built build. He has dark hair, a strong jawline, strong eyebrows, and light eyes. He also bears a slight resemblance to his great-great-grandfather Jonathan Joestar and to his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, when he was a young man.

His clothing style tends to change slightly with each installment, but it's always an ornate cap, torn at the back and blending into his hair, and he usually wears a long coat that reaches mid-calf with chains attached. As the only JoJo to appear in four story arcs of the manga, Jotaro's appearance has changed over time, with changes here and there, but his signature hat and jacket are always present.
