I was never a patient man. Discipline was taught to me on the battlefield, not in life.

He spat one night, thinking I wasn't listening, and I got up without thinking.

Natalia glared at me, but then looked down. Not because she was afraid of me, but because she knew I wasn't speaking in vain. I can't tolerate disrespect, especially not towards her. The way I spoke to Natalia was like a soldier out of place.

But it wasn't confusion.
It was inherited poison.
His mother, my ex-wife, filled his head with lies. The woman who betrayed me, who took everything she could and still wanted more. The one who made me believe that love was just a trap to weaken you.

And now, years later, he's trying to do it again through Natalia.

I don't intend to allow it.
