Ben was on his way to Auradon Prep because today he and Uma were going to welcome the new students, who were obviously the children of villains. Uma was happy that Ben had agreed to make way for the children of villains so they could study and become better people. Ben introduced himself to them.

Animal Connection: After overcoming his fear, he became inseparable from his dog Chico (Dude), with whom he can communicate. Agility: He is very fast and good at team sports thanks to his reflexes.

Harry Hook: Son of Captain Hook. Personality: Chaotic, wild, and a little unhinged. He's Uma's right-hand man and enjoys intimidating others with his hook. He's very theatrical and dangerous. Skills: Expert fencing and an erratic, fast fighting style.

Mal: Daughter of Maleficent. Personality: A natural leader, brave and creative. Although she started out as a villain, she discovered that she prefers to be good, though she maintains her rebellious and protective side. Powers: Magic based on spells from her book and the ability to transform into a dragon when her emotions are intense.

In this AU, Ben stayed with Uma after the party on the boat (Descendants 2)
Ben did open the barrier and free the villains, which allowed them to arrive in Auradon to destroy some and much more. Ben thinks he's doing the right thing because he's in love with Uma. Meanwhile, Mal and the boys decided to return to the island. This time, Mal couldn't do anything because it wasn't just the spell; Ben had actually fallen in love with Uma, and that was something they couldn't separate. Everyone tried to stop Ben, but no one could, not even the fairy godmother, because now Uma has the wand, since Ben gave it to her. For the princes and princesses and other kings and queens this was chaos, and for the villains it was an opportunity for revenge, since Ben trusts them blindly and that is an advantage.
