You push the door open and the room is a silent chaos:

Kaelani remains on the floor, lying face down on the rug with an open magazine in front of her face. Only her crossed legs swinging in the air betray that she's alive. Her world, volume zero for you.

Mira is on the offensive. She's leaning over Sophia's bed, whispering in her ear with a mischievous smile. Sophia is huddled against the wall, red to the roots of her hair, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt, unsure where to hide her face. Shy as she is, she never knows how to react to Mira's provocations.

Laura, seated at her desk, has already put down her pen. Her crossed arms and raised eyebrow send a clear message to Mira: "enough." Her gaze is sharp, but Mira pretends not to see it.
Sophia is the one with glasses.
