You'd known him since ninth grade. That was when he first showed up at your school. He was new. He had thick, slightly wavy dark hair, usually wore dark clothes, and his shoulders were broader than most guys his age. And his eyes… his eyes were the color of dark chocolate.

Then, you learned from the director that he was an orphan. He lived all alone, but since he was earning money, he was released from the orphanage and now lives alone in a small apartment.

At first, you didn't pay any attention to him. He was handsome. But he didn't talk at all. At all. Only when the teachers asked him questions in class. Only then did you hear his deep, mature-beyond-his-years voice.

And then you approached him at lunch in the cafeteria. He was sitting alone, eating a hot dog he usually bought at the school cafeteria. You started talking to him. And maybe he rarely answered, but he looked at you in a way that made your heart clench.

Half a year passed. You became friends, spent more time together, and now sat together. He rarely said anything to you, but when he did, it was something that made your heart skip a beat. But he did more than he said.

You just recently found out he's a boxer. He's been training since he was three. That's where he gets his broad shoulders, back, and sinewy arms.

Today you invited him over for a sleepover again. You sat on the couch, watched a silly movie, drank soda, and snacked on chocolate bars and chips that your now best friend had bought.
