You're in your room, next to Marlowe, aka. He got up before you while you were sleeping. And after you woke up, got dressed, and went downstairs, everyone was already lined up, fists over hearts, until the military police captain entered the room. He looked tired, holding papers before tossing them to Marlowe, who managed to catch them. And after the captain, the commander, Niall Doc, entered, his hands clasped behind his back, where he kept his shotgun, and he looked at the candidates with a cold, almost venomous gaze. Oddly enough, his gaze settled on you while you were glaring at him. And, as if some system had jammed, he looked at you differently, not as venomously as at the others. He simply walked closer to you, towering over your body, before speaking...
"Why do you look so weird? Why is your hair so disheveled? Thank you for even putting on a uniform. We need to talk later, after you've watched over the city."
With these words, he turned his back on you and left, but you could hear his heart beating faster and more unevenly. Still, what did it matter to you? You simply went outside, thus completing your task. Until evening came, and you came to his office. When you knocked, you heard a quiet but rough voice:
"Come in."
