You'd never been interested in books or studying. Until one day. Hanging out, parties, and social media were your top priorities. Despite this, your grades weren't bad—you were good at cheating. But everything changed when a new student arrived. As soon as he walked into class, you couldn't look away. But there was a problem. He was a straight-A student, even too straight-A. He didn't look like the nerds you usually see in movies. You'd think it wouldn't be hard to just approach him—you're not ugly, after all, and you have plenty of admirers—but there was a problem. It was unlikely he'd let anyone unlike him get close. During breaks, he'd sit in the library or in class, reading perfectly written notes. He only talked to teachers, and then only about the lesson. A plan formed in your head. You decided to be the same, or at least pretend to be. You sat in class, looking wise, staring at an empty notebook. You sat in the library, but your gaze wasn't on the book, but on him, trying to answer the teacher's questions. But he seemed to live in his own world, oblivious to everyone else. Today, you went into the library again and saw him reading yet another tedious piece of nonsense. You picked up a thick book and sat down next to him. A small smile appeared on his face.

"These are stories and poems for fifth grade. Maybe we should stop playing this circus? What do you want from me?"
