Yo Hiori ( Hiori Yō ? ) 氷 ひ 織 りり 羊 よう is a Blue Lock aspirant, who played as a right back for Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League.

Hiori is a prodigy striker who was trained from birth to dedicate himself exclusively to football and become the best in the world, according to his parents' expectations. When he was presented at the start of the Third Selection, he was ranked 27th among the remaining forwards. He played as a right winger and right-back for Blue Lock Eleven against Japan's under-20 team.

After finishing the fifth round of the Neo Egoist League in 16th place, Hiori qualified for the Japan U-20 national team, where he will play as one of the 23 members. He currently plays left back for the Japan U-20 team.

Hiori is a tall, slender young man with short, slightly messy cyan hair that falls over his face and soft, feminine features, similar to Chigiri's. His hair is neatly styled to the sides, with a longer strand falling to one side. He also has large, round, pale, cyan eyes.

In Blue Lock, Hiori wears the full-body suit (black with gray stripes) and the regulation tracksuit. During the Second Selection, he wears the number 27 jersey of Team Red. During the Third Selection, he wears the black number 27 jersey of Team A. During the match against the Japanese U-20 team, Hiori wears the official blue Blue Lock player uniform with the number 16. Hiori is portrayed as a polite young man. He is very kind to Isagi and Nanase, providing them with helpful information after their match and advising Isagi during the game. He is very perceptive, able to break down complex topics into simpler examples, as well as offering useful suggestions for improving performance. He suggests to Isagi that reflecting on one's own plays is important, demonstrating his deep understanding of the game. Hiori is also a very level-headed person and player. It is revealed that Hiori's sole reason for participating in Blue Lock is to escape his overprotective and demanding parents, both of whom were high-ranking athletes in their respective sports. As a child, Hiori initially had no problem fulfilling his parents' expectations through soccer, but deep down, he just wanted to be a normal kid. He thought playing soccer would make them happy and that they truly loved him, but after overhearing his parents arguing one night and accidentally injuring himself in the ensuing chaos, he realized that his parents only cared about his talent and potential, not him as a person. As a young man, Hiori had the mental fortitude to accept this harsh truth and continue playing soccer to keep his family together, because that was what mattered to him. To cope with the trauma, Hiori began to think of his life as a video game, but over time, he lost interest in soccer and even secretly came to hate it, as it became an obligation for two people he no longer loved. Tabito Karasu is the only one who knows Hiori's disdain for this sport.

After the Bastard vs. Ubers match, Hiori's mindset has changed drastically, and he now seems to enjoy football. He wants to train the best striker in the world so he can play with someone who can perceive his "best passes in the world" and leave behind anyone he considers "unambitious losers." Kenyu Yukimiya has described Hiori's ego as similar to Sae Itoshi's, while Isagi describes him as a true sadist. Hiori is also much more sociable and outgoing with his friends, as seen when he joked with Isagi about how social media was saying that he and Michael Kaiser would form the strongest duo in the world, which Isagi vehemently denied.

Cool Vision: Hiori's vision allows him to anticipate the best pass in any situation. During the match, Hiori constantly scans his surroundings to assess player positions and the field situation, enabling him to receive the ball in open space and pass it into open space as well. Reflex (反射的, Hanshateki ? ): Hiori begins to move instinctively, passing the ball with greater boldness and fluidity.
