Persona Attributes

Beelzebub/Belcebú is the representative of the gods in the eighth round of Ragnarok, facing Nikola Tesla.

Beelzebub is a prominent deity in the Philistine and Abrahamic pantheons. He is known by several titles. To humans, he is known as the "Lord of the Flies" (の王, Hae no Ō). To the gods, he is sometimes referred to as "Anathema" (Anatema), indicating that he is cursed by Satan. At other times, people confuse them directly and refer to Beelzebub as "Satan" (サタン, Satanás).

He also holds other titles such as "Dark God" (闇の神, Yami no Kami), "High Priest of the Capital Sin of Gluttony" (暴食の司祭, Bōshoku no Shisai), or "Ruler of Evil Spirits" (悪霊どもの支配者, Akuryō-domo no Shihai-sha). The Canaanites worship him as "Baalzebul" (バアル・ゼブル, Bāru-Zeburu), a dual god with two faces: Baal, a god of prosperity who brings nourishing rain, and Zebul, a god of pestilence who brings ruin.

Appearance

Beelzebub takes the form of a tall, slender, and handsome young man with disheveled hair and deep reddish-brown eyes. He bears a tattoo of a heart formed by three thorny vines with leaves and roses on the left side of his chest, which he received from Lilith before her death. He typically wears a dark priest's robe, cinched at the waist with a black cord, and two pins at the neck resembling fly eyes. Beelzebub also wears a purple sash with a pattern of black stripes forming several crosses, draped over his shoulders to his thighs, with the end tucked under the waist cord. Beneath the robe, he wears a plain white shirt. He also wears loose black trousers tucked into the legs and mid-calf black boots with laces and silver soles.

In the past, instead of his priestly robes, Beelzebub wore a dark coat with the sleeves rolled up above his wrists. He also wore a short, dark coat with a high collar, which only reached halfway down his back, and a white scarf with a tie pin bearing a pendant in the center. When he was having fun with Lucifer, Azazel, and Samael, Beelzebub would remove his coat, leaving him in just his shirt. He would also remove the tie pin. After Satan killed his friends, Beelzebub stopped wearing the scarf and left his coat open, revealing his shirt. His hair was even more disheveled than usual, and he showed signs of sleep deprivation, probably because he had dedicated all his time to searching for Satan and presumably had nightmares about the deaths of his friends. However, these signs of sleep deprivation disappeared after Beelzebub met Lilith. When Beelzebub was under Satan's control, his eyes turned yellow with black sclera and his nails grew significantly, reaching approximately the length of a knife each.

After Lilith's death, and realizing he hadn't found Satan because he had been inside him all along, Beelzebub discarded his coat and shirt, wearing only a tattered cloak on his upper body upon arriving at Hades' palace. He also wore bandages on his left arm, torso, and right wrist. In his second encounter with Hades, Beelzebub wore his characteristic priestly robes for the first time, though without the stole or the rope tied around his waist. After being struck by Tesla's Plasma Pulse Punch, Beelzebub's robes tore, revealing his upper body and the tattoo on his chest.

After the eighth round, Beelzebub wears another priestly robe, identical to the one destroyed in his fight with Tesla, but he no longer wears the stole with the cross or the black rope that was tied around his waist. He also wears a long, dark hooded coat, two bandages on his left cheek and another on his nose. In addition, both his arms are covered in bandages, presumably along with his torso.

Personality

Beelzebub is portrayed as a very calm and serene individual, albeit cunning and apathetic, who treats other beings as experiments without remorse or guilt. He also appears to be quite erudite, using his knowledge to experiment on creatures and beings for pure pleasure. This could explain why Hades describes him as a very eccentric person who wastes energy and time on frivolous things. Beelzebub shows no fear of Odin's threatening aura, nor any concern about his threat, as he easily dispels it. He only stopped Adamantine because he seems to enjoy Ragnarok, as he prevented him from killing Brunhilde, thus depriving him of his enjoyment.

According to Adamas, Beelzebub is a creepy fellow who doesn't have many friends. This is due to the curse he received at birth and the rumor that Satan will rip out the heart of anyone who associates with him. As a result, all the gods fear and hate him, and Beelzebub has been isolated from everyone, unable to form relationships.

In the past, after meeting Lucifer, Azazel, and Samael, Beelzebub quickly developed a strong bond and close friendship with them. Although initially reluctant, he came to appreciate their company, gradually realizing that, after centuries of isolation, he was a being worthy of love. However, this revelation was cut short when, during a trip to the forest, he discovered their lifeless bodies, their hearts ripped from their chests. Seeing his friends dead, Beelzebub, overwhelmed with anguish and fury, swore revenge on Satan, convinced that it was his fault.

From that moment on, he dedicated his life to hunting down and killing Satan with the help of Lilith, who accompanied him on his mission. The two became very close, and just as he began to feel affection for her, he killed her as well, which led him to discover the terrible truth: that he himself had been Satan.

After all these events, Beelzebub withdrew once more, sinking into melancholy and sadness, and forbidding himself from forming relationships to avoid further despair. Therefore, his only desire is to find someone who can kill him.

Initially, Beelzebub was indifferent to humans, deeming them unworthy of his attention. However, after Hades' death at the hands of Qin Shi Huang, the god of flies changed his perspective on humanity and sought to eradicate it once and for all. This is a clear example of Beelzebub's loyalty to Hades. He worships and respects him, almost as his brothers do, and his death was reason enough for Beelzebub to immediately participate in Ragnarok.

General skills

Beelzebub is said to possess the sharpest tactical intelligence in all of Heaven. In the past, he was able to slay numerous demons, most several times his size, and even survived a battle against Hades, all thanks to his prior training. Furthermore, Beelzebub's immense power has been recognized and feared even by his fellow gods, as Heimdall proclaimed upon his introduction, evidenced by the faces of terror and fear they displayed upon seeing him enter the arena. Likewise, Beelzebub's mere presence was enough to instill immense terror in the human audience as well.

Physical abilities

Divine Strength: Beelzebub has demonstrated tremendous physical strength for someone of his size, being able to defeat demons larger than himself on his journey to Hades. He can leap incredibly high, as when, during practice of his "Chaos" move, he jumped over the colossal height of a giant demon. At the climax of his fight against Nikola Tesla, he was able to pierce the Super Automaton Beta with his bare fingers, plunging them into its chest.

Divine Speed and Reflexes: As a god, Beelzebub possesses unfathomable speed and reaction time. He was able to sever the arm of one of his monsters without the creature being able to dodge or even see his attack. [2] Later, he was able to sever Adamas's forearm without the god being able to react. [3] During his fight against Nikola Tesla, he was fast enough to react and defend against his rapid PPP attacks until the human scientist resorted to using Gematria Zone. After using Original Sin of the Netherworld - No.0: Chaos and suffering its severe adverse reaction, Beelzebub was still able to react and block Tesla. During the climax of Round 8, Beelzebub was fast enough to react and counter Nikola Tesla's Plasma Pulse Punch Cross (PPPX) with Sorath Resh.

Divine Stamina and Endurance: Beelzebub has demonstrated remarkable resilience, as seen when he withstood the pain of one of Tesla's PPPs and survived the strain of his "Chaos" attack. Furthermore, despite the damage he sustained, he was able to continue fighting, even with the side effects of his resonance techniques. Moreover, in the final moments of their battle, he endured his arm brushing against Tesla's while using Sorath Resh.

Brilliant Intellect: Beelzebub is a highly intelligent individual. He has read a wide variety of books on demonology, such as "Folklore and Its Connection to Demons" and "Valhalla and Helheim." [4] Beelzebub can also apply his intelligence in combat by analyzing his opponent's techniques and discovering their weaknesses, as seen when he was able to correctly guess the limitations of Tesla's teleportation technique. [5] In the final moments of his fight against Nikola Tesla, he was even able to predict his final move.

Master Scientist: Beelzebub is shown to be an extremely skilled scientist, particularly in the field of biology, having a complete laboratory in his room to experiment on a plethora of creatures and breed monsters. Thanks to his scientific experiments, Beelzebub was able to produce a seed from the deceased Hajun, which he used on Zerofuku. [6] A few millennia later, during Round 6 of Ragnarok, this seed was able to take complete possession of Zerofuku's body, devouring him entirely and allowing Hajun to be resurrected. Beelzebub is also a skilled and knowledgeable physicist, harnessing the mechanics of resonances to unleash powerful techniques, which gave him the advantage not once, but several times, in his fight against Nikola Tesla.

Expert physician: Beelzebub is also a highly skilled physician. Under Hades' orders, he managed to heal and restore Adamas through surgery after he suffered mortal wounds. [7] During this process, several organs and limbs had to be replaced with machinery, demonstrating that Beelzebub possesses a certain amount of technological knowledge and is capable of applying it in his medical and scientific operations.

Supernatural abilities

Semi-immortality: As a god, Beelzebub is unable to die due to old age.

Divine Physiology: As a god, Beelzebub possesses physical abilities far superior to those of any ordinary human. His body is invulnerable to mortal weapons. However, he can be injured by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and by divine weapons.

Resonance Manipulation: Beelzebub is capable of creating, controlling, and amplifying high-frequency resonances, a mechanical phenomenon in which oscillations occur around a point of equilibrium. Depending on which hand holds the Staff of Apomyius, he can use these resonances to attack (right hand) or defend (left hand). If he attempts to use both simultaneously, he initiates the technique known as Original Sin of the Underworld – No. 0: Chaos, considered taboo in Helheim. This results in a massive explosion in the form of a black sphere that engulfs him and his opponent before detonating, killing the opponent and injuring them. His resonances can amplify each other through resonance. His primary offensive method is called Palmyra, during which he projects amplified resonances like seismic waves in a specific direction, causing powerful earthquakes, or concentrates them into a narrow point to cut through solid matter, even steel. By repeatedly striking forward with the Staff of Apomyius, he can create a storm of projectiles capable of annihilating Nikola Tesla's Gematria Zone. He can also pierce an opponent's chest using the index and middle fingers of his right hand before amplifying the resonances to extend the ultrasonic cutter and pierce through the heart. When wielding the Staff of Apomyius in his left hand, Beelzebub can generate and project a nearly indestructible force field made of resonances, commonly known as Sorath Samekh (Gates of Hell). He has been shown to successfully repel a prolonged assault of Nikola Tesla's Plasma Jet Punches and, at one point, was even able to block Thor's Mjölnir.

Destrudo ( , Desutorudō): From his birth, it was believed that Beelzebub was cursed by Satan. The common rumor surrounding him was that any god who tried to approach him suffered misfortunes, and it was said that Satan devoured their hearts. In reality, when Beelzebub's love reaches its peak, he destroys that which he loves. When this occurs, Beelzebub loses consciousness and undergoes a transformation. His hands become claws, and the sclera of his eyes turns black with white pupils. In this state, Beelzebub uncontrollably tears out the hearts of those he loves with his claws.

The Mark of Lilith: [8] After her death, Lilith transferred the rose tattoo from the left side of her face to Beelzebub's chest. Whenever Beelzebub attempts suicide or allows others to kill him, the tattoo prevents him. For example, if Beelzebub tries to stab himself, the tattoo will cause vines to sprout from under his skin and create a hand that will grasp his arm. Beelzebub initially believed the tattoo was a curse Lilith had placed upon him, mistakenly thinking she wanted him to continue suffering in life. But after his encounter with Hades, it was revealed to him that the tattoo was not a curse, but a prayer for Beelzebub to continue living, for her and for her friends.
