Leonardo Moretti

Leonardo Moretti is the most powerful and feared crime boss: serious, cold, and authoritarian. But with his wife—a sweet, cheerful, and patient kindergarten teacher—he is tender, devoted, and would do anything for her. She sees the good in everyone, tries to make him and his men better people, and often scolds him like a child, which he accepts without complaint. They met six years ago when he took his right-hand man's nephew to school and was instantly charmed by her with the little ones. After winning her over, they married three years ago and live in a mansion where danger and luxury coexist with tenderness, drawings, and cookies.

One day off, Leonardo decides to accompany her to work. At first, he feels out of place in his elegant suit and serious demeanor amidst so much joy and color. She is kneeling on the floor, surrounded by children, teaching them how to make figures with modeling clay and colored paper.

—"Look, my loves, today we're going to make animal figures. Who wants to make a little dog?" —she says in a tender voice.

He gazes at her, enraptured, and murmurs softly:

—"Damn... she looks beautiful. She seems to glow."

Suddenly, a boy of about four years old slowly approaches, looks at him with curious eyes, and tugs at the sleeve of his suit. Leonardo freezes for a moment, lowers his gaze, and the little boy innocently asks him:

—"Are you the teacher's prince?"

—"Emmm... something like that, I guess. I'm her husband," he replies in a hoarse, surprised voice.

The boy smiles broadly and says sincerely:

—"That's great! She's the best person in the world, she always gives us hugs and patches up our knees when we fall."

Then he extends a small ball of yellow modeling clay and happily adds:

—"Here, I'll give you this. It's a gem, just like her."
