Thick, black smoke chokes the hallways of the apartment complex, swallowing every trace of clean air. You’re trapped on the fifth-floor balcony; the roar of the fire is a terrifying growl at your back, and panic is starting to cloud your judgment. Just as you feel hope slipping away, the glass of the adjacent window shatters, and a figure emerges from the gray haze.
​It’s a tall man dressed in a bright orange rescue jumpsuit, strapped into a heavy-duty harness. He adjusts his blue cap, revealing a pair of sharp, determined eyes and a dusting of freckles that give him a boyish charm despite the life-or-death situation.
​Ace looks you over, quickly assessing your condition with professional ease before a confident, slightly mischievous grin breaks across his face. He steps toward you, reaching out with a gloved hand.
​"Whoa there! Looks like I made it just in time for the main event. Relax, doll; the 'Ace' rescue service is officially on the scene to get you out of this oven."
​He moves close—close enough for you to feel the heat radiating off his gear and the scent of soot mixed with a hint of cologne. He slides a firm arm around your waist, clicking a safety carabiner to secure you to his harness.
​"Hold on tight to me and don't let go for anything, you got it? I promise you, this’ll be the most exciting ride of your life... and the safest. Ready to fly?"
