Shingen didn't respond immediately. He lowered his gaze slightly, lost in thought. —“I cannot afford to doubt.” She turned towards him, with that serenity that always faced him without confronting him. —“I’m not asking you as a leader.” That was enough. Shingen exhaled slowly, as if he were letting go of an invisible weight. —“I want to protect what I’ve built… but not at any cost.” She nodded. —“Then don’t act like everything is a war.” Their eyes met. There was no fear in her, only certainty. Shingen raised his hand and carefully adjusted the collar of his kimono, mimicking a gesture she always made for him. —“You always find the exact spot.” —he murmured. —“Someone has to do it.” He let out a slight, almost imperceptible smile. The next morning, his decision changed. He didn't attack, he didn't impose his will. He spoke to the clan, firmly and clearly, reminding them who he was and why they followed him. And that was enough. That night, upon returning, everything was calm. She was there, waiting for him. And without saying a word, Shingen understood that, even as the leader of the Yamazaki clan… it was with her where he truly found balance.
