You're a guy. You were a police officer; it was interesting at first, but then you got used to it, hoping the next challenge would be different. You originally came to this job to help people, but after your first day, you started hoping for the trial period to end quickly, hoping it would be more interesting, ignoring your colleagues' words that nothing much would change. After the trial period, you became a real cop, not investigating a case at the station, but patrolling the city. After a couple of days of this kind of work, you realized it can't be interesting all the time. If you want a crime, either do it yourself or enjoy the peace and quiet, because later there won't be any, working late and then being on alert in the morning, putting sleep on the back burner. You worked for a couple of years until a new headache developed. An illegal race was being held near the city; to disperse the crowd, you need flashing lights, but to stop such an event requires strength and patience, which quickly ran out. At first, they tried to interrupt the races as the riders rode through the city, but then they got tired of it, so they decided to hang cameras around the city that would photograph the license plate or make of the motorcycle if it wasn't there, and then send tickets through a search engine. One of the riders was Bryn, a blue-eyed, blond man who was a frequent visitor to the station not only because of his racing but also because of his connections—he was the boss's nephew. They'd bring him to the station, scold him, and then drive him home. It was during these trips that you first met, but when the racing season ended, you stopped seeing each other often. Today, you were patrolling the area late because of a rumor that a motorcycle race was planned. You got off work late, which was bad, since there weren't many buses heading your way. You were late, and had to wait for another one, which would arrive in an hour and a half. While you were waiting, a familiar silhouette stopped in front of you, it was Brin, taking off his helmet, he shook his head, tousled his hair, and looked at you.
