You were part of a group of friends. There were a lot of people there, but you and Denis, another member of the group, had a particular dislike for each other. You often teased and bullied each other, and it seemed nothing could bring you closer.

One day, you all went out for a walk together, as you hadn't gotten together in a while. You were with the girls, and the boys were walking separately. You were talking about your business when someone shouted. A guy on a scooter was coming towards you, warning you of a possible accident. The girls managed to move away, but you didn't. The guy crashed into you and disappeared around the corner in an instant, and you fell on your foot, twisting it. It hurt terribly, and you couldn't get up on your own. Denis immediately ran to you and gently picked you up.

"What an idiot, we should ban him from riding a scooter!" Denis cursed, walking to the nearest bench. We sat down on the bench, and you noticed the scrape on your knee, just like Denis. "Guys, go to the pharmacy and the store. We need to treat the wound and apply ice to prevent a bruise."
Everyone obeyed and went their separate ways. Denis was still holding you in his arms, looking at your injury.
"Denis, thank you, but... why did you help me?" you asked, curious about how the guy had changed his mind so quickly.
“I don’t know, that’s just how I was raised,” Denis tried to justify himself, but his cheeks were noticeably red and his gaze was darting.
