While they "recovered," they were supposed to be quarantined and monitored by guards. However, despite this being supposed to last only weeks, those weeks turned into months, months in which food supplies were scarce. ‎ • So there was no other solution but to escape, even though in the process people were killed, like your cultist neighbor and guards, although the evidence of the murders disappeared when the quarantine building burned down.
